【Design concept】 This kit is designed to enhance the performance of a two-stage snow blower, enabling it to throw snow farther and work more efficiently on heavy wet snow and slush, accomplishing the task by reducing the clearance between the rotating impeller and the housing.
【Product Dimensions】 Rubber paddles 3/8″ thick (2 inches wide x 5 inches long), made of Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR Rubber), SBR Rubber has a minimum tensile strength of 725 PSI (5 MPA) and a hard rubber hardness of 65-75; Perforated metal straps – 1 3/8 inches wide x 3 3/4 inches long, perforated flat bar stainless steel material, 1/16 inch thick.
【Product Size】 Bolts (5/16-18 x 1-inch coarse thread) with 5/16-18 lock nuts (use 1/2-inch wrench and socket); hex bolts, hex lock nut nylon inserts, self-tapping screws (#14 x 1), sheet metal screws, hex washer head self-drilling.
【Installation Note】 This kit can be challenging to install, so it is recommended to search out a few more YouTube videos to watch before getting your hands dirty. A steel step drill bit is recommended for drilling holes in the impeller blades. The discharge chute and its mounting bracket in must be removed to reach the impeller blades. When adjusting the rubber broom, be sure to disconnect the spark plug and rotate the impeller to make sure the rubber clears the metal housing.
